Creativity and art have been a part of my life as long as I can remember.
I have explored many different media over the years and while pregnant with our second child, I fell in love with clay while taking a local pottery class. I enjoy the entire creative process from forming the clay to painting and the ability to experiment with color, creating original designs, and incorporating ribbon, metal, and handmade paper. While on maternity leave, I saw a clip of a new mom receiving a home visit from a clay impression business. Looking at my own childrens' precious hands and feet and thinking of my love of clay; something clicked. Through experimentation and trial and error, I developed a technique that not only captures the preciousness of a child's small size, but the fine detail as well. ClayBaby Impressions was born. I have been creating handpainted whimsical plaques, ceramic birth announcement tiles, magnetic message boards(featuring handpainted ceramic tiles and magnets), as well as hand and foot impressions of infants & children for almost ten years now.
Working from my home studio allows me to pursue my artistic side without sacrificing time with my family and three young children. I take pride in creating unique, high-quality works of art that can also be completely customized (including shape, color, font, theme, and choice of other artistic touches to design your personalized work of art). I am also available for commission work if you would like to match a specific item or theme (such as wallpaper, bedding, etc.). Whether you choose to design your own or select from one of the many products and designs I have already created, you are sure to have a treasured keepsake that will last a lifetime.
